“Born and raised in Belarus, I left my country of origin in 2015 to move to Berlin – a city that granted me newfound freedoms unseen before – freedoms of self-realization, self-determination, self-expression, sexuality, and politics.
Inspired by my chosen home, Berlin, I delved into self-discovery, addressing traumas, stereotypes, and restrictions. The central theme of my art became freedom. “MY EVOLUTION” is a story of transformation, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of artistic and personal freedom”, – FABIFA
The “Ecotech” series of the tape artworks explores the intersection of nature, technology, and human evolution, inspired by the glow of ultraviolet corals and the modern urban landscape of the nocturnal metropolis.
This highly personal series serves as a personal exploration of my own emotions and those of others, expressed through visual art.
Project Cyberbase is a groundbreaking tape art installation featuring interactive elements, musical accompaniment, and visual projections. This unique collaboration with several artists included the innovative use of copper tape for conducting signals. The full Cyberbase project includes not only an interactive installation but also a virtual game and NFTs. The combination of these elements created a distinctive and immersive experience, making Cyberbase a highly acclaimed project.
Fabifa installed her art on a huge glass wall of the facade of the Illuseum in Berlin. This collaboration with the renowned Berlin museum features a tape artwork made from car wrap film on a 25-meter facade, incorporating elements of illusions, real muses, and a metaphorical interpretation of the museum’s soul.
In 2024, Fabifa participated in the “Kinesis” group exhibition in Berlin, showcasing her installation “Cyber Geisha.” This piece featured an innovative use of monochrome lighting, which transitioned from normal white light to a monochrome spectrum, reducing all colors to yellow and black. This technique emphasized the cyberpunk aesthetic and highlighted the duality and contrast in her work, aligning with the exhibition’s exploration of movement and transformation.
